Music has always been an integral part of education at Austica Memorial College. Our vibrant music program not only develops artistic talents but also builds confidence, discipline, and teamwork among our students.
Students begin their musical journey in primary school with basic rhythm and melody training. As they progress, they have opportunities to learn various instruments including piano, guitar, drums, violin, and traditional African instruments.
Our school band has participated in numerous regional competitions, consistently earning top positions. Last term, we won first place at the Anambra State Inter-School Music Festival, showcasing performances that blend contemporary and traditional Nigerian music.
"Music education is not just about learning to play instruments; it's about developing creativity, emotional intelligence, and cultural appreciation." - Mrs. Chioma Okeke, Music Director
We encourage all students to explore their musical interests, whether as performers, composers, or appreciative listeners. Music truly enriches the educational experience at Austica.
